Meet the Team
Nichole Ballard
Chief Detail Enthusiast & Client Cheerleader
Nichole has been part of this company since 1988 — with a few exciting detours as Director of Special Events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and Director of Advertising & Marketing for Baltimore’s legendary Lexington Market. In 2019, she teamed up with Terah to buy the company, and the rest is history! Her mission? Keep the strong foundation intact while sprinkling in fresh ideas and energy.
Nichole loves working side-by-side with clients to turn big conference dreams into reality. She’s all about creative solutions, flawless details, and making sure every client feels like we’re part of their team (because we are!). As a former meeting planner, she knows the hustle and still thrives on the challenge of bringing people and ideas together.
When she’s off the clock, Nichole is a proud mom of two amazing daughters: one’s an environmental law attorney (and soon-to-be bride!), and the other is a Criminal Justice major tearing up the lacrosse field. At home, life is never boring thanks to her two gentle giants, Rocco and Lola, who think they’re lap dogs. Nichole’s happy place? Curled up with a good book or puzzle, surrounded by family, friends, and laughter.

Terah Shaffer
Conference Chaos Wrangler & LEGO Legend
Terah earned her Business Administration degree from Frostburg State University and immediately decided the corporate ladder wasn’t nearly exciting enough. Instead, she dove headfirst into conference registration, joining YesEvents in 2007 after a previous life in government contracting as a Human Resource Analyst. (Yes—she’s always been into systems, spreadsheets, and making chaos behave.)

- Builds LEGO sets that probably require a safety briefing
- Makes giant knot blankets that double as forts and nap zones
- Lives with two pugs and one gentle-giant pit bull who runs the couch
